The very first step of mushroom production is the creation of nutritional soil. The compost and casing consist of straw and animal feces. It is fermented and additives are added. The creation of the compost requires three phases- Phase I, Phase II, Phase III- and it needs 35-45 days to complete the procedure. Phase II goes through pasteurization and it is the process of transforming the raw materials into the nutritional soil for the mushrooms. Phase III is the inoculation and bactericidal process.
